When to Seek Emergency Help
Go to the emergency room or call 911 if you or someone you know:
Is thinking about suicide or has a plan to do so
Is threatening to hurt or kill themselves or others
Has access to means to harm themselves or others
Is experiencing psychosis (seeing or hearing things that aren't there)
Has severely erratic or violent behavior
Is unable to care for themselves (not eating, drinking, or sleeping for days)
💙 For Family & Friends
If someone you care about is in crisis:
Stay calm and listen without judgment
Ask directly if they're thinking about suicide
Don't leave them alone if you believe they're in immediate danger
Remove any means of self-harm if possible
Call 988 or emergency services for guidance
Take threats seriously—don't dismiss them
